"The Prince of the Tides" (1991) is an American dramatized novel directed by Barbra Streisand, inspired by Pat Conroy's book, "The Prince of Tides" which tells the story of the Wingo family consisting of a couple and three children who They live on an island in South Carolina, their lives marked by moments of violence and piping facing serious problems with the usual suicide attempts by writer and younger daughter Savannah Wingo.
