Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the connective tissue, of unknown etiology. Patients can present changes in several important systems, which compromises the quality of life with the evolution of the disease. The main objective of the study was to know the quality of life of patients diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and to relate it to the practice of spirituality. The study is a prospective cross-sectional, epidemiological, observational and descriptive study in which 30 participants were included, diagnosed with SLE according to the criteria of the American College of Rheumatology. The instruments used were: medical records, Quality of Life Inventory [WHOQOL-SRPB] and Quality of Life Inventory in short [WHOQOL-breve]. The analysis of standardized instruments was carried out according to the criteria already established by each of them. The data found indicated that patients involved in actions in the field of spirituality have a better quality of life, even with the diagnosis of a chronic disease and the limitations and discomfort it causes.
