Social representations are understood as the individual opinions constructed, reworked and redeemed to a specific social object, influenced by the life story of each one. Its operation is based on flavors built and shared socially, a version of reality according to the satisfaction and justification of the needs, interests and values ??of the group that produced it. For the present research, a bibliographic study was made with materials published by classic and contemporary authors about the theoretical approaches of the Theory of Social Representations and the use of Content Analysis as an instrument that supports the research in these approaches. The theoretical approaches in Social Representations are: Cultural Approach (Sociogenetics) by Denise Jodelet, Societal Approach by Willen Doise, and Structural Approach by Jean-Claude Abric.
